x^4=1/x^4 can be written as (x^2 + 1/x^2)² -2 × x² × 1/x²
So we will have to find the value of x² +1/x²
(x+1/x)²=x² +1/x² +2 × x × 1/x
4²=x ² + 1/x² + 2
16 - 2= x² + 1/x² = 14
now( x² + 1/x²) =x^4 + 1/x ^4 + 2 × x² × 1/x²
=14²=x^4 + 1/x^4 +2
196-2=x^4 + 1/x^4
x^$ + 1/x ^4 = 194
