Solve this linear equations by the substitution method : 2/x + 2/3y = 1/6 and 2/x - 1/y = 1.​

2/x+2/3y=1/6

2/x+(2/y)×1/3=1/6

3/x+2/y=0

2/y=-3/x

put 2 in equation 1

2/x+(-3/x)×1/3=1/6

2/x-1/x=1/6

1/x=1/6

put 3 in equation 2

2/y = (-3/6)

2/y=-1/2

1/y= -1/4

y=-4

therefore

x=6

y=-4
