Now,
a+d - a = (3y+5) - (3y-1)

Again,
a + 2d = 5y+1
=>3y - 1 + 2(6) = 5y + 1
=> -1 + 12 -1 = 5y - 3y
=> 10 = 2y. => y = 5. (ans)
