(d)

Given: (10111)₂

Dibble-Double Method:

⇒ 1 * 2 = 2

⇒ 2 + 0 = 2

⇒ 2 * 2 = 4

⇒ 4 + 1 = 5

⇒ 5 * 2 = 10

⇒ 10 + 1 = 11

⇒ 11 * 2 = 22

⇒ 22 + 1 = 23.

Therefore: (10111)₂ = (23)₁₀.

(e)

Given: (85)₁₀

Steps:

(i) 85 is < 128.So, 128 = 0

(ii) 85 > 64. So, 64 = 1

85 - 64 = 21

(iii) 21 < 32..So, 32 = 0

(iv) 21 > 16.So, 16 = 1

21 - 16 = 5

(v) 5 > 8. So, 8 = 0

(vi) 5 > 4. So, 4 = 1

5 - 2 = 1

(vii) 1 < 2. So, 2 = 0

(vii) 1 - 1 = 0. So, 1 = 1

Table of power method:

128      64      32      16      8      4        2         1

0          1         0        1        0      1         0         1

Therefore: (85)₁₀ = (01010101)₂

(f)

Given: (133)₁₀

Steps:

(a) Divide the decimal number by 2.

(b) Divide each resulting quotient by 2.

(c) This continues until you cannot divide further by 2.

(iv) From the remainders generated by division method, binary number is formed, from reading the recordings from the bottom to the top.

Repeated Division method:

Division           Quotient         Remainder

133/2                 66                  1

66/2                  33                   0

33/2                  16                    1

16/2                   8                     0

8/2                     4                    0

4/2                     2                    0

2/2                     1                     0

1/2                      0                    1

Now, Read the remainders from bottom to top i.e (10000101)₂

Therefore: (133)₁₀ = (10000101)₂

Hope it helps!
