Explanation:

In figure one, 110° is an angle given, whivh makes a linear pair with the adjacent angle. They are supplementary. Hence, on joining, they make a linear pair and a linear pair is always 180°. So, 180-110=70° (another angle). Now, Angle X is corresponding to 70°, AND YOU GET THE ANSWER WHICH IS X=70°.

In figure one, <x = 100° because the other 100° angle is also corresponding. Corresponding angles on the same side of the transversal. HENCE, <X = 100°.
