Density = mass/volume

Calculate the volume first

Volume of cone = 1/3 × πr²h

→ 1/3 × π × 1² × 5

= 5π/3

Density = 10 ÷ 5π/3

→ Density = 6/π ≈ 1.91

Relative error in volume would be = 2× relative error in radius + relative error in height

This is because the error is always added, and the powers (indices) in expression are multiplied with the absolute error

→ Relative error in volume = 0.02/1 + 0.1/5 = 0.02 + 0.02 = 0.04

Relative error in density = relative error in mass + relative error in volume

→ Relative error in density = 0.1/10 + 0.04

→ 0.01 + 0.04 = 0.05

Hence, % error in measurement of density = relative error × 100

→ 0.05 × 100 = 5%

Now, to express it in similar manner of mass, calculate 5% of the obtained density

→ 5 % of 1.91 = 0.0955

Round off to significant figures → 0.096 → 0.10

Hence, density = 1.91 ± 0.1 kg/m³
