First of all we know torque= force×perpendicular distance.
So let's first Find Force and in question it is given that mass=1kg or unit mass but we also know wieght = Force = m×g so force = 1×10=10N
now to find perpendicular distance i.e the maximal height at which v=0, by putting the formula v2=u2+2as but taking sign convention the object is moving upwards against gravity so g=-10m/s2
solving the above eqn you will get S=5
so torque=force×perpendicular distance= 10×5=50N.m
