in the following picture,
in triangle ABE AND triangle DBC,
i)AB=BC
ii) Angle ABE=ANGLE DBC
iii)angle BEA=Angle BDC
SO, TRIANGLE ABE AND TRIANGLE DBC ARE similar
so, AE=CD

First prove that these 2 triangles are congruent then by C.P.C.T you can show that AE = CD
