1. Simplify the equation.

$\frac{(x-3)^2-(x+3)^2}{x^2-9} =\frac{48}{7}$

$\frac{-12x}{x^2-9} =\frac{48}{7}$

$-12x\times 7=(x^2-9)\times 48$

$-7x=4x^2-36$

$4x^2+7x-36=0$

2. Factor.

$(x+4)(4x-9)=0$

∴$x=\frac{9}{4}$ or $x=-4$

ANS : x = 9/4, -4
