Given:

(i) January represents 71313

(ii) February represents 82382

(iii) March represents 53113

and so on.

To find:

(i) What is Septmber represented by?

Solution:

Let us first represent the numbers corresponding to a particular month in the ABCDE form at. [A is the first number, B is the second and so on.]

The logic is that

A represents the number of words present in the spelling of the month.

B represents the month number, that is from 1 to 12.

C represents the number of vowels present in the spelling of the month.

DE represents the swapped numberof the number of days present in the month. ( If 31, it becomes 13, if 28, it becomes 82 and so on).

Let us now check.

January has 7 letters, so A = 7.

It is the 1st month, so B = 1

It has 3 vowels (a,u,a), so C = 3

Number of days are 31, on swapping it becomes 13, so DE = 13

Thus the number is 71313.

For September, it has 9 letters, so A = 9.

It is the 9th month, so B = 9

It has 3 vowels (e,e,e), so C = 3

Number of days are 30, on swapping it becomes 03, so DE = 03

Thus the number is 99303.

The number of September is 99303.
