Given x:y = 3:7
Let's take any positive no. ' a '
Now multiplied by ' a' in the ratio.
So now, x:y= 3a:7a
This means x=3a and y=7a
From the figure we can say (by property)
that exterior angle equals to sum of opposite two angles
So, /_x +/_y = 70°
3a+ 7a=70°
10a=70°
a=7
Therefore, x=3a=3*7=21°
and y= 7a= 7*7=49°

Let x be 3x
Let y be 7x

By exterior angle property
x+y=70°
3:7=70°
3x+7x=70°
10x=70°
x=70/10
x=7

x=3x
3*7
21

y=7x
7*7
49
