From Figure :

Let the height of the tower be AB.

Given DC = 20m, ACB = 60 degrees and ADB = 60 degrees.

 1) From Right angled triangle ACB

            Tan 60 = AB/BC

            root 3 = AB/BC

            AB = root 3 BC   ----- (1)

2) From Right angled triangle ADB

            Tan 30 = AB/BD

             1/root3 = AB/BD

              AB = BD/root 3    ----- (2)

From (1) and (2), we get

root 3 BC = BD/root 3

        3 BC = BD

        3 BC = BC + CD

        3 BC = BC + 20

         2 BC = 20

            BC = 10.

Substitute BC in (1), we get

AB = root 3 * 10

AB = 10 root 3.

The height of the tower = 10 root 3 and the width = 10m.

Hope this helps!
