hiii!!!

here's ur answer...

let the number which must be subtracted from -2/3 to get 1/6 be x.

therefore -2/3 - x = 1/6

==> -x = 1/6 + 2/3

==> -x = 1/6 + 4/6

==> -x = 5/6

==> x = -5/6

verification :-

LHS = -2/3 - x

= -2/3 - (-5/6)

= -2/3 + 5/6

= -4/6 + 5/6

= 1/6

RHS = 1/6

hence, LHS = RHS

final answer is "-5/6" should be subtracted from -2/3 to get 1/6
