A man starts frm his house with some money to visit 4 temples.

1. As soon as he enters temple 1 his money gets doubled. He donates 100 rs nd moves.

2. At temple 2 again his money is doubled and he donates 100 rs.

3. His money is doubled again at temple 3 and he donates 100 rs.

4. At temple 4 again his money gets doubled. He donates 100 rs. again
and
returns home empty handed.

How much money he had when he started from his house???

Thus he had 93.75 Rs when he started from his house.

Explanation:

• Let’s assume he has = x   Rs
• Money left after 1st temple visit =  (2 x - 100)   Rs
• Money left after 2nd temple visit = (4 x - 300)   Rs
• Money left after 3rd temple visit = (8 x-700)   Rs
• After 4th temple visit, he is left with =  (16 x - 1500)  Rs
• Which is zero (as he is left with empty pockets)
• Now the actual money he started with
• Actual money  = 1500/16 =   93.75 Rs

Thus he had 93.75 Rs when he started from his house.
