By substitution method..

x+y=14

x-y=4

So.....

x+y=14

x=14-y

Putting the value of y in equation second..

x-y=4

14-y-y=4

14-2y=4

-2y=4-14

-2y=-10

y=-10/-2

y=5

We obtain value of y is 5.

Then putting the value of y in equation first.

x+y=14

x+5=14

x=14-5

x=9

we obtain the value of x is 9....
