=> 6.5.x/100=8.5(2490-x)/100
=> 6.5x=8.5(2490-x)
=> 6.5x=8.5×2490-8.5x
=> 6.5x+8.5x=8.5×2490
=> 15x=2490×8.5
=> x=2490×8.5/15
=> x=166×8.5
=> x=1411
so,1st number is 1411 and the other is (2490-1411)
