QUESTION SOLVING APPROACH :-

Just take your age as example. Think how can you calculate your age two years ago,after five years ,after seven years and so on.
Then, generalise the result.

Let present age of Priya be x \: years

Thus, her age five years ago = x - 5 years

and, age after two years from now will be x + 2 years

A/Q,

x + 2 = 2(x - 5) \\ = >x + 2 = 2x - 10 \\ = > 12 = x \\ = > x = 12years

Thus, present age of Priya = 12 years Ans.

let present age be x
two years after =x+2
5 years before=x-5
ATQ
X+2=2(x-5)
X+2=2X-10
2+10=2X-X
12=X
