Hey !!!

Q. 1

solution is given in this aatachment

Q. 2

Let the original fraction be x/y

Given , when 1 is substracting from it's numerator and 1 is added to its denominator

then , x - 1 / y + 1 = (y + 1 )

2x - 2 = y + 1

2x - y = 3 _________1)

.Again , when 6 is substracted from it's numerator and 1 from the denomenator

then , x - 6 / y - 1 = 1/3

3 ( x - 6 ) = ( y - 1 )

3x - 6 = y - 1

3x - 18 = y - 1

3x - y = 17

Using eliminating method

substracting (1) from (2)

3x - y = 17
2x - y = 3
-....+ ...-
________
x = 14

Now putting the value of x on equation (1 )

Then , we get

2 × 14 - y = 3

y = 25

hence , x / y = 14/ 25

original fraction = 14/25 Answer ✔
