The value of a polynomial obtained on putting a particular value of the variable is called the value of the polynomial.

The value of a polynomial p(x) at x= a(let) is denoted by p(a).

 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Solution:

i)

p(x) = 5x - 4x² + 3

On putting x=0 ,

p(0) = 5(0) - 4(0)² + 3

= 0 - 0 +3=3

= 3

ii)

(x) = 5x - 4x² + 3

On putting x= -1,

p(-1) = 5(-1) - 4(-1)²+ 3

= -5 - 4(1) + 3

= -5-4+3= -9+3= -6

= -6

iii)

p(x) = 5x - 4x² + 3

On putting x=2

p(2) = 5(2) - 4(2)² + 3

= 10 – 16 + 3 = -6+3

= -3

Answer:

hey mate ‍♂️‍♂️

here is ur answer ‍♀️

have a great day ☕☕

given \: p(x) = 5x - {4x}^{2} \: +3 \\ given \: g(x) = 0 \\ = > 5 \times (0) - {4(0)}^{2} + 3 \\ = 0 + 0 + 3 \\ = 3

given \: p(x) = 5x - {4x}^{2} + 3 \\ g(x) = - 1 \\ = > 5 \times ( - 1) - {4( - 1)}^{2} + 3 \\ = - 5 + 16 + 3 \\ = 14
