Answer:

The value of x is 1 and y is 2.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given equations:-

3x-2y=-1     ...(i)

x+3y=7         ...(ii)

Now, multiply the equation ( ii ) by 3,

=> 3x +9y =21     ...(iii)

Subtracting equation ( iii ) by ( i ) we get,

=> 11y =22

Divide both the sides by 11, we get

=> y = 2

So, the value of y is 2.

Now, put the value of y as 2 in the equation ( iii ), we get

=> 3x+ 9y=21

=> 3x+9(2)=21

Multiply the numbers, we get

=> 3x + 18=21

=> 3x = 21-18\\=> 3x = 3

Divide both the sides by 3, we get

=> x = 1

So, the value of x is 1.
