Answer:x^2+2x-a(a+2)=0

x^2+2x-a^2-2a=0

x^2+2(x-a)-a^2=0

x^2-a^2=-2(x-a)

(x-a)(x+a)=-2(x-a)

x+a=-2

X=-(a+2)

Answer = x = a and x = - (a+2)

x² + 2x - a(a+2) = 0

x² + [ (a+2) - a ]x - a(a+2) = 0

x² + (a+2)x -ax - a(a+2) =0

x [x + (a+2)] -a [x + (a+2)] =0

=> [x + (a+2)] × [x-a] = 0

=> x-a=0 and x + (a+2) =0

=> x = a and x = - (a+2)
