Given:-

To find:-

  • Value of x.

Solution:-

According to the question,

→ (x + 2)/(x + 5) = x/(x + 6)

→ x(x + 5) = (x + 2)(x + 6)

→ x² + 5x = x² + 6x + 2x + 12

→ x² + 5x = x² + 8x + 12

→ x² - x² = 8x - 5x + 12

→ 0 = 3x + 12

→ 3x = -12

→ x = -12/3

x = -4

Hence,

  • The value of x is -4.
