Answer:

x+y=5.........[Eq 1]

2 x-3 y=4............[Eq 2]

multiply [Eq 1] by 2

We Get,

2 x+2 y=10........[Eq 3]

Subtract [Eq 3} and [Eq 2}

2 x-3 y=4

2 x+2 y=10

__________

-5 y=-6

y=6/5

x+y=5

x=5 - y

x=5 - 6/5

x= [ 25-6]/5

x=19/5

To check substitute x and y values

x + y=5

19/5 + 6/5 =25/5

25/5=25/5

5=5

So the values of x and y are perfectly correct
