x= (-b+-√b²-4ac) / 2a.

x= [-(-5)±√5²-4×1×-10]/ 2×1

x=[5±√25+40]/2

x=[5±√65]/2

x=[5±8.06....]/2

x=[5±8.06]/2

on taking x=[5+8.06]/2                      on taking x=[5-8.06]/2

                x=[13.06]/2                                            x=[-3.06]/2

                  x=6.53                                                     x=-1.53

so x=(6.53 , -1.53)
