3x+4y=10 …………..(1)

2x−2y=2 (or) x−y=1 …………(2)

(1) ⇒(3x+4y=10)1

(2) ⇒(x−y=1)3

3x+4y=10

3x−3y=3

7y=7

∴y=1

Put y=1 in (1) we get 3x+4×1=10

3x=10−4=6

∴x=

3

6

=2

Hence x=2,y=1.

Step-by-step explanation:

3x + 4y = 10 \\  \\  \\ 2x - 2y = 2 \\ x - y = 1 \\ x = 1 + y \\ put \: in \: eqn \: 1 \\  \\ 3(1 + y) + 4y = 10 \\ 3 + 7y = 10 \\ 7y = 7 \\ y = 1 \\  \\ x = y + 1 \\  = 2
