area of part enclosed by circles = 4*area of 1 circle
diameter of 1 circle = 7 cm
radius \: of \: 1 \: circle =  \frac{7}{2} cm
area \: of \: circle = \pi {r}^{2}  \\ area \: of \: 1 \: circle =  \frac{22}{7}  \times  \frac{7}{2}  \times  \frac{7}{2} \:  {unit}^{2} \\ area \: of \: 1 \: circle \:  =  \frac{77}{2}  {cm}^{2}  \\ area \: of \: 4 \: circles = 4 \times  \frac{77}{2}   \: \:  {cm}^{2}  \\  = 154 \:  {cm}^{2}  \\ area \: of \: part \: of \: square \: occupied \: by \: circles = 154 \:  {cm}^{2}
