in total is taken at rate of 6%, the interest is 7000*5*6/100=2100
in total is taken at rate of 4%, the interest is 7000*5*4/100=1400
the radios of amount taken for 6%, 4%= 2:5
the sum lent for 6%= 7000*2/7= 2000

Answer:

Rs. 146000

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x be the amount lent at 6%

So, 7000-x amount lent at 4%

Time = 5 years

Total simple interest = 1600

Si = \frac{P \times R \times T }{100}

Si = \frac{x \times 6 \times 5 }{100}+\frac{(7000-x) \times 4 \times 5 }{100}

16000=\frac{x \times 6 \times 5 }{100}+\frac{(7000-x) \times 4 \times 5 }{100}

x= 146000

Hence the sum lent at 6% per annum is Rs. 146000
