calcium hydroxide is used by farmer to control soil acidity because calcium hydroxid is a strong base which react with acid to form salt and water both are necessary for the plant salt helps to kill

microorganism and water is used by the plant.

  • there is many process by which acid rain is formed.
  1. in atmosphere many gases are present while thunderstorm the temperature of that particular area of atmosphere is high due to which some gases become active and it react with water to form weak acid like HNo3 ,HNo2 etc
  2. Acid train is also formed due to presence of carbon dioxide carbon monoxide etc in the cloud.
