Dictatorship is one man's, one party's or one group's absolute rule over a country. The dictator exercises absolute power over the country. His decisions are final and cannot be changed by any law or bill. People lose their fundamental rights such as freedom of speech and expression, freedom of religion, etc. They cannot remove the dictator at their own will. Dictator usually introduces his own laws that kill or imprison people who oppose The Dictator. People don't have any see in the government and decision making. There are no elections.
Democracy is rule of the people by the people for the people. People indirectly make all the decisions for the country. It is ruled by representatives elected by the people. It strictly follows a constitution. The government cannot itself dictate any law rule is not passed in the Parliament and by the president of the country. People has many rights and fundamental rights such as freedom of speech, freedom of expression, etc.
