Some Garbage rot while others don't. Why?

Some garbage are biodegradable and biological bacterias act on them and they rot/decompose....while some are non biodegradable like plastic.Biological bacteria can't act on them and hence they don't rot/decompose.

some garbage rot but others don't
it is due to nature of it
like if you will observe vegetables waste you will observe that is is decaying faster than others
another reason is that on some garbage ,bacteria is found in large numbers which helps to decay object fastly while other doesn't
