How do we define that something is black. It’s so simple.

First of all we should know that how do we see everyday objects. From very basics of physics, there is a property called ‘reflection’. So whenever light rays get reflected from an object, we can see that object. Now every object around us reflects some particular spectrum of light that’s why we can see some objects as blue and some as green or any other colour.

A shadow is a dark area where light from a light source is blocked by an opaque object. It occupies all of the three-dimensional volume behind an object with light in front of it.
