An electric bulb is rated 220V and 100W. when it is operated on 110V, what will be the power consumed? R = 2202/100 Ω = 484 Ω. This is the resistance of the bulb.

P=V2/R=
R=V2/P
R=(220)2/40
R=48400/40
R=1100ohm
If power is 25watt then
R=V2/P
R=(220)2/25
R=48400/25
R=1936ohm
I=V/R
=220/1936
=0.113A
