For two circumstances,we will observe the following things :

• a) In this case, the paper will easily catch fire when we it is held to bunsen flame.

Because, the paper is wrapped around a wooden cylinder which is an extremely bad conductor of heat and that's why all the applied heat is directly absorbed by the paper. In this way,the paper reaches the burning temperature at a faster speed.

• b) In this case, the paper will not easily catch fire.

Because, the paper is wrapped around an aluminium cylinder which is a very good conductor of heat and that's why all the applied heat is observed by the aluminium cylinder. In this way,the paper reaches the burning temperature at a slower speed.
