Some people in old age complain of stiff joints.What do you think could be a possible reason for it?

the wear and year of the joints rubs the smoothness of the joints out. this results in less formation of the liquid which keeps the joints intact. therefore some people in old age complain of stiff joints.

hello there,
before going to the answer lets consider the following points.
1.the joints are like lego toys...and tends to grind against each other .

2.to prevent this there is a fyn layer of lubricating fluid called sinovia or sinovial fluidenclosed in a sac like membrane.this layer acts as a cushion reducing the friction b/w the joints.

coming to the answer..

as we age the efficiency of the body decreases .so repetitive movement of the joints reduce the sinovia nd the body finds it difficult to repair the damage caused.

this condition will result in stiff joint.
