some people in old age complain of stiff joints. What do you think could be a possible reason for it

it is probably due to the loss of flexibility of muscles of the joints due to old age as a result of which arises a problem in the normal functioning of the joints thus leading to stiffness

Old people complain about stiff joints, because of their less strenght and loss of CaPO4 (calcium phosphate) which make their bones weak. Also when the fluid between two synovial joints get dried up there is a friction caused between the bones as a result old people have stiff joints.
