Ans.

i)
The area of the wall is
= 45 × 32 sq. metre
= 1440 sq. metre

So the cost of covering the wall with Rs 40 per metre carpet is
= Rs (1440 × 40) / 1.20
= Rs 48000 /-

ii)
If the carpet is 80 cm = 0.8 m wide and the cost is Rs 25 per mitre.

Then the required cost is
= Rs (1440 × 25) / 0.8
= Rs 45000 /-
