Someone explain me the Pythagoras theorem in detail.

Pythagoras Theorem:- (Hypotenuse)² = (Base)² + (Perpendicular)²

It means in a triangle the square of longest side is equal to the sum of the base and perpendicular...

(the longest side)square = base square + altitude square......or simply
