The history club of our school decided to pay a visit to the Red Fort.We went to Delhi in the summer vacation.We alighted the train at old Delhi Railway Station.We hired tonas and reached the red Fort.
Just , inside the gate there is nagar khan.The imperial band played six times a day there.There were a few huge drums.
Ahead,there is a Diwan - Aam.Literally it means place for the common man.It was hear that the emperor used to hold his Darbar.It was from this place that he used to carry public business.He even received officers there.In short,it was the main center for conducting government business.
The Moti Maasjid was reserved for the king to say his prayers.The was no less fascinating.Many kinds of Mughal Dresses and weapons are at display there.It attracted many people.
The memory of the visit still lingers in my mind.I WONDER HOW GREAT SHAH JAHAN.The red fort bears good evildence to it.
