sound waves of wave length X travel from a medium in which velocity V m/s into another medium in which if velocity is 3 m/s is the wave length of sound in the second medium?

The frequency of sound in both the mediums will remain the same. So, velocity/wavelength remains constant. Therr fore, new wavelength is 3X/V
