For first medium,

Wavelength = X

Frequency =f

Velocity = V

For second medium,

Wavelength =?

Frequency = f ( Remains same for all mediums)

Velocity = 3m/s

Now, formula connecting these three quantities is,

Velocity =Wavelength * Frequency

For first medium,

V=X*f ________________(i)

For second medium,

3=Wavelength*f ________(ii)

From equation (i) take the value of f in terms of V and X and put it into (ii)

3= Wavelength*V/X

Wavelength= 3X/V
