Towards the southern part of India we have Arabian sea to the west,Bay of Bengal to the East and Indian Ocean to the south, literally South India is surrounded by these 3.

Ocean or water acts as a climate moderator, more the water molecules in the atmosphere,more mild the climate becomes. Hence south India

does not experience much heat or cold compared to other regions.
