Comparing both the equation

        3x + 5y - 26 = x + 5y -22

         3x - x + 5y - 5y = -22 + 26

             2x = 4

              x = 4/2

               x = 2

Putting the value of x in eq. 1

    3x + 5y = 26

     3(2) + 5y = 26

       6 + 5y = 26

             5y = 26 - 6

               5y = 20

                 y = 20/5

                  y = 4

So the value of x and y is 2 , 4 .
