Robert Frost once said, "The best way out is always through."

And that applies to overcoming fears and hesitation too. The situation has to be lived through and dealt with.

Good morning everyone,

Humans are social animals and cannot lead isolated lives. In fact in today's age of social media, our lives are a lot more public than ever before. This leads to developing numerous types of fears, because there are a lot of people watching you and maybe even judging you. However this is also the time when awareness and support are at an all time high. People have become more sensitive and go out of the way to help their near and dear ones. So, it is not surprising that with the right kind of support and encouragement from family members, one can overcome all sorts of hurdles and fears, including the fear of failure.

A common example is that of stammering. When a child stammers and others around make fun of him, the child develops a complex and becomes uncomfortable while talking. Over time this develops into a fear of interacting with people, because they are scared that others will laugh at them. However, if the family members do not ridicule the child and instead encourage the child, then the child's hesitation starts decreasing. Gradually the child either accepts stammering as part of the personality or even begins to improve. In any case, a little understanding from family members keeps the child safe from negativity.

Support from family does not mean that they keep the person in an overly protected and artificial environment. They may not be able to remove the psychological or medical reason behind the fear but they can promote a positive mindset in the individual. It is this mind set that gives the person strength to deal with life and all its problems, including fears.
