The relationship between specefic conductivity (K) and molar conductivity

Ʌm is as follows.

Ʌm=  K/c

Here c is the concentration in terms of molarity.

First of all we should find molarity. To do this multiply no. of replacable hydrogens with normality i.e. 0.01/2=0.005M

Now apply formula:

Ʌm=6×10-3/0.005=1.2 Scm-1M-1

Now to convert the units to Scm-2mol-1 multiply with 1000, the answer is 1200

You can check the calculation yourself.

jatinpanchal098: Sir, I do same but answer is 1200Scm^2mol^-1
usmanarshad89: Well that is strange. Are you sure, the answer book has got no misprinting or something.
jatinpanchal098: No this question is in Aakash chemistry module
usmanarshad89: For Scm-2mol-1, the formula applied is k*1000/c.
usmanarshad89: Check it out, I derived the answer in different units. Now its done correctly.
jatinpanchal098: I have one more question sir

Answer:

The answer is 1200

Explanation:

molar conductivity= specific conductivity* 1000/M

M= N/n-factor

n-factor=2

M=0.01/2=1/200

molar conductivity= 0.006*1000*200 = 1200

Its a ques from aakash module i hope it will be easy to understand.
