Answer:

I believe before answering this question it is important for us to know from where we began our journey in 1947 where the growth rate had been less than 2% for half a century with negligible rise in income of individuals for a period of not less than 100 years.Today through our democratic structure we have enhanced our ability in terms of every aspect and to be able to discuss about this question is itself a accomplishment. From the very beginning we as minors are taught that the political class has failed in serving the nation and headlines of political involvement in scams/rackets triggers the negative feeling.

Yes with a downhearted feeling I agree that the political class has failed in certain areas such as the-

-Education sector- So far we have been unable to provide quality education to the young minds of the country. The number of graduates in the country are not even 10%.

-Creation of Job- It is evident as an engineer is seen doing petty jobs which has rather been a misfortune for the country as till time we have not been able accommodate our own brain force in their respective fields and moreover the availability of government jobs in the country are still pretty low.

-Political Inclusion- Also we have not seen the inclusion of the youth in the major political field Resources and Information. is evident as the average age of a cabinet minister is 65 years which is nearly 4 decades older than the country's average age.

But still somehow I believe that it is not the political class who has solely failed but we as the citizens have also failed in catering the aspirations of the youth the biggest example being- Tax evasion, not even 2% of the country's population file for income tax and we expect the situation to improve.I strongly believe that we as Indians are aware about our Rights but tend to forget when it comes to our Duties/Responsibilities towards our motherland.

According to Maslow's Development Model, a satisfied need can no longer motivate a person and a satisfied need is easily forgotten. The basic of the basic aspirations for every individual is quality of life which includes access to basic amenities (due to widespread poverty and hunger it is prime most aspiration for majority of the people). Aspirations are very subjective themselves as different people aspire differently.I can somehow say that the political class has been able to provide the same to majority of the youth.Today we Indians are leading MNC's, reaching other planets, playing a dominant role in the world economy all this has happened because of the political advancement and reforms initiated by them.

It is time we change our thinking towards the system and start contributing for the nations welfare and well being rather than just complaining or criticising it.
