Proverb : Speech is Silver, Silence is Gold.

Gold is more precious than silver. This saying literally means people should be a good listener and should be able to speak less when the situation demands. Good and patient listeners are the first ones who succeed in doing their work.

One should listen to someone's speech attentively and should be patient enough for their turn to speak. Also, it falls under the manners or ettiquettes that one should not interrupt in between when the other is speaking.

Silence sometimes save persons from brutal conflicts between individuals in a society.

That is why it is said that Speech is Silver, but Silence is Gold!
