Abraham Lincoln is one of America's influential presidents. He was the 16th President of the US. Their success tells the story of the life of struggle. Extreme poverty, the long trip from the White House that Lincoln had twice failed in the Senate election. Abraham Lincoln was born on February 12, 1809 Hardin County, Kentucky was a poor black family. Thomas and Nancy Hanks Lincoln, his parents said. Thomas was the couple's two children, daughter Sara and youngest son, Thomas. When Abraham was young, his father lost everything and they Perry County, Indiana, arrived. Here he struggled to earn a living. When Abraham was just nine years old, her mother died. Thereafter took care of his sister Sarah. Thomas and Sarah Bush Johnson widow remarried and became stepfather to her three children. Abraham's stepmother, affection and guidance over the real mother of the father he had never met.
Abraham's upbringing was merely ceremonial, but he was passionately interested in books and learning. Most learn from books was obtained by self-education. Sometimes the book borrowing mills walked away. Was one of his favorite books, "The Life of George Washington".
