Corruption grows with fame and wealth. Hardly you can see people who are down-to-Earth leaders. Most of the leaders- elected ones or the ones in school boundaries, are the cultivators of negative policies like 'corruption', 'domination' and monarchy sort of behaviour. Being a leader doesn't mean you can do whatever you like irrespective of the people's choices and aspirations, whom they are leading.
Once a leader earns fame and wealth, they start following corruption which is a loophole in many democratic countries. Corruption may also develop in office and school premises. By earning money, they very well know that by paying it in various places- be it cinema halls, or for paying for numerous posters describing their good qualities, and not the negative ones,  to win the hearts of the people.Well, why will the people, who are being leaded, support the negative leaders? This is just because many people believe in the false preaching that the one who has money, is the one to be close with. Money is not all that counts.Above all, its your behaviour that defines your character and personality. And talking about fame,  if something is quite famous and followed by everyone, it isn't necessary that it's a right choice, step, opinion. or person.
On the other hand, we do have eminent leaders, who not only have fame and money, but also quite down-to-earth. We can't say that all leaders follow the policy of 'corruption'. They are many leaders who carry out anti-corruptional measures. All that matters is, the one who has fame and money need not be the right person, regarding behaviour. Moreover, fame and money is not all that matters to be a good person in this diverse society.

......hope this answer helps   :)
