Fashion is something means to follow or apply new and some different styles of clothing, hairstyles or body languages by people of different age. To live in style with fashion is mostly preferred by college going youngsters who are the main follower of fashion. Fashion is related with all age of people either male or female in different manners. Mostly girls fashion is too much trendy and advance then any others. Fashion is not only limited to dressing style but it includes all other different aspects of life like the house they live in, what they eat, what kind of work they prefer to do for their time pass and many more. In our country, source of fashion is generally the glamorous and entertainment industry where every week a new style of dressing, makeup and hairstyle is introduced. Some of the people have registered their name for introducing the new trend of fashion in the glamorous world. These are Manish Malhotra, Ritu Kumar, Tarun Tahiliani, Ritu Beri, Sabhya Sachi and many more.
Source of Fashion
In India, initially people were too much affected and inspired by western culture in matter of fashion. Now the global fashion comes from these four major cities in the world. These are New York, London, Paris and Milan where the headquarters of fashion industries or companies are available. These cities host fashion weeks here where top designers apply and exhibit their new collection on top models worldwide. Apart from these international sources of fashion, in India glamorous industry and entertainment industry are also the source for new trend of fashion. Fashion designers apply their new ideas of clothing, makeup and hairstyle on top Models, actors and actresses. After some time this become the new trend of fashion and followed by millions of youngsters.
Style of Fashion at different places in India:
Basic fashion in India is the different cultural outfits of different states, which is decided since the pre-historical time. Some of the cultural fashion trends of major states are:
In North India, sarees and salwar suits are preferred by girls and women along with young girls follows the fashion trend by wearing skirts and jeans with shirts or top.
In South India, ladies wear kanjiwaram saree on the occasion of wedding or any festival and men wear a type of sarong with shirts.
In Punjab, salwar suit with dupatta is the common wear for girls and women over there, along with pathani suit is preferred by men with a colourful turban.
In Maharashtra, women wear a nine yards long saree (known as lugadi in Marathi) with a short sleeved blouse. Men’s traditional dress is kurta pyjama with a folded cotton topi on head.
Effects of Fashion on People
Fashion is now the need for youngsters even for all age people to maintain their image in front of others, so that they can be the part of this trendy and fashionable society. Being fashionable, we have to face some good and bad effects:
Being fashionable enables you to feel confident and assure about yourselves. Apart from girls, boys are also running behind the race of fashion where they are usually found in tight jeans, sleeveless shirts or jackets with completely unsuitable hair colour with different hair cut or style. Teenage boys and girls are too affected by this culture and sometime forget their primary concern in life. In spite of focusing on their studies, they just focus on their looks and style to be the part of race. When we talk about girls they are two steps ahead than boys even in matter of fashion. Sometimes, effect of this craziness towards fashion goes very harmful for girls.
Conclusion:
Though, we know that to be updated and to go with society is a need to bring some kind of changes in our outlook and physical attitudes which makes us confident and admirable; but at the same time it affects us badly too our cultural and traditional morals and views. Following and applying fashion in life is not bad until it does not affect or impact badly to others.
