An IAS officer can work at the following positions during his  entire career and can perform the following welfare works:-
What I will do:-


1) AS A CEO OF ZILLA PARISHAD(ZP):- ZP is known as a mini government and deals with all aspects of RURAL DEVELOPMENT in a district.
I will take various initiatives to implement various government schemes in an efficient and people friendly manner.I  would  ensure maximum transparency and accountability in such works.I would spread awareness among rural people regarding education, good sanitation practices, healthy life, participation in governance, etc.           

2)AS A DISTRICT COLLECTOR:-I will try to shorten the long queues outside the office by shortening complex procedures and use of good technology.Maximum governance at minimum effort by the public.A public grievance cell in the district collector office.First preference in giving services to villagers coming from distant villages.


Computerization of land records and rest all records.A website to give information to the public regarding status of their work(ex:- certificates).Encourage e-payment of  land revenue.I will spread awareness among rural people regarding various government schemes( specially agricultural).A website consisting of all government schemes,procedures and services.I would spread awareness among rural people regarding education, good sanitation practices, healthy life, participation in governance, etc.Use of recent technologies for preparing city development plans.   


         
3)AS A MUNICIPAL COMMISSIONER:-I will strive to keep the city clean by giving strict orders to officers in charge.Incentives to citizens who give innovative suggestions to MUNICIPAL CORPORATION.

Monitoring of corporation projects with CCTV'S at site (specially roads) to ensure quality.Online database of all roads and their present condition.Website to register complaints by citizens and I will personally take interest in such issues.Single window in MUNICIPAL CORPORATION which means any citizen requiring any service from corporation will have to go to only one window.

Strict compliance of time frame to issue each certificate or service to citizens.Strict monitoring of water supply and installation of sewage treatment plants in city.Plantation of maximum trees.Removal of illegal structures.I will try to increase revenue of MC by using technology and transparency.Housing scheme for slum dwellers
